Art has become a place. A place that has become a part of me. Where I feel safest, my anxiety lessens, and vanity and self-criticism take a back seat.
The more I “make art,” the lighter, more creative, and more inspired I become. I’ve already had quite a few different ideas “here,” for even more diverse things. The ideas come, and the media follows the imagination.

It’s a learning experience. A form of therapy. A surprise. I never really “trusted” my hands. Maybe because I’m left-handed. Maybe because I thought I lacked patience.
But in art, I feel more at ease. More in touch with my inner child.
A child who was playful and gradually became an art playful adult, deeply immersed in this experience: sensory, dynamic, human, unique, true, imperfect, constantly in motion, and learning to see the beauty in the process.
Contemporary, multimedia, handmade. Every piece I create conveys layers of meaning. To celebrate our stories, the symbolism—sometimes subtle, sometimes explicit—is meant to touch what lies deepest within all of us, transforming personal experience into a universal language.
An observer and a curious person by nature, I draw inspiration from the places I live in and discover, my experiences, our roots, and the various ways we relate to one another, as well as from reading and nature. Everything that lies within the reach of a mindful gaze and a free imagination.

What matters most to me is that what I create—down to the smallest details—reflects life and becomes part of the silent biography of each person’s and family’s home. As an interior designer and communicator, ever since I began using my creativity to design pieces that I often couldn’t find to tell my own story, it is the drive to discover myself as an artist and as a person that leads me to seek out and experiment with different techniques and materials.
Dreams, ideas, studies, my repertoire, and a lot of hands-on work come together to create the pieces that speak for me and that are also able to move people and connect me to them in a special way.
The most powerful art is that which leaves room for others to inhabit it.
Welcome to my safe space.
With warmth, Fabíola.
